The most westerly state in the continental United States is the state of Washington it sits perched atop the state of Oregon right next to Canada and next to the cool Pacific Ocean.

The area is known for it’s scenic beauty and the abundance of millions of acres of forest with an uncountable number of trees and very hill terrain. It is an area that is great for hunting, fishing and almost any other outdoor activity. Off road four wheeling and motorcycling as well as mountain biking and hiking are favorite activities here.

The out of door things are the reason that a great number of people come to visit and eventually end up moving here. It is hard to find and area that has more for the outdoorsman than what you will find in the state of Washington.

One huge advantage of living in Washington is that for the most part, even though it is quite a bit north, the climate is somewhat mild over all and rain is much more common than huge snowfall amounts making it great for folks that really prefer an area with a mild winter.

The major cities in the state of Washington are the metropolitan areas of Seattle, Tacoma and Spokane. As is the case in a lot of western states, the three main cities in the state comprise the majority of the population there.

The foreclosure laws in Washington are convoluted at best. A notice of sale has to be sent to the borrower and his or her attorney no less than 30 days prior to the sale and the actual sale has to take place absolutely no less than 190 days after the original date of the default.

The borrower has the ability to stop the sale up until 11 days before the date of the scheduled sale by paying the past due amount plus any fees that have become associated with the foreclosure.

If the sale takes place it will be in public auction with the successful bidder getting a certificate of sale for the foreclosed property.
